Studio · content plan

A social media content calendar for travel agencies that ends in a post

Studio’s content plan sits on the calendar of festivals, holidays and seasons in the countries you sell to. Each post has a day, a time, an owner and a status from idea to shared; its owner is reminded, each person gets a Monday email of the week, and the plan shows in your own calendar app.

What a post on the plan holds

A planned post is a line on a day: what to post, notes, the time it goes out on your account’s clock (or any time that day), who posts it, and the festival, season or date of yours it is for. Its owner is one of your people who holds Studio.

Its status moves from idea, to draft once a design is attached, to approved, to shared. Calendar → Plan lists what is waiting on someone, what is coming up over the next six months, what went out lately and your own dates, for everyone’s posts or only yours.

From the calendar to the plan in one click

Calendar items offer two buttons. Plan it puts an idea on the item’s day and remembers its post ready. Make the post opens the design and puts it on the plan as a draft, owned by you and reminded the day before; if someone already planned an idea for that item within a few days, the design goes onto it instead of a second line.

Once a post is planned for an item, the item says On your plan and opens that design rather than making another. A planned idea becomes a design from its own row, from its post ready or any template in the gallery. Removing a post from the plan leaves its design in your designs.

Reminders that reach the person who posts

A plan works only when someone is told it is their turn.

  • When: at the post’s time, an hour, a day (the default), two days or a week before, or not at all. A post with no time is reminded for 10:00 on the account’s clock.
  • How: a push on the phones and computers where the owner turned on Studio’s notifications, and an email in their language. Each person switches either off for themselves.
  • What it says: when the post goes out and where it stands, such as “It is still an idea: make its design.”
  • Until when: it stops once the post is shared.
  • Waiting on you: posts whose day has come and that are not shared, up to 30 days back, at the top of the plan and as a red count on the Calendar menu.

The Monday pack

Every Monday from 08:00 on each person’s own clock, everyone holding Studio gets one email: this week’s occasions in your markets with when to post each, your own dates among them, their own posts this week and the ones still waiting, and how many more the team has planned.

It is on by default and each person can turn it off. A week with nothing in it sends nothing, and a Monday missed is not sent on Tuesday, because the pack is about the week ahead.

The plan in your own calendar app

In Studio’s settings, each person can make a secret calendar address and subscribe to it from their calendar app. It is read-only and kept up to date by the app: your own posts not yet shared, at their time on the account’s clock or all day, and the account’s own dates as all-day entries that leave you free.

The address is shown once. If it is lost or shared by mistake, make a new one and the old one stops working at once, or stop the feed altogether.

Your own dates on the same plan

Anniversaries, trade fairs you attend, fam trips and any other date of yours sit on the plan beside the festivals, once or every year and up to 60 days long, each with a post ready and its lead time: on the day for an anniversary, 21 days before a fair, 45 before a fam trip.

Run it from the phone

Calendar is one of Studio’s phone tabs, and on a phone the month view lists only the days that have something on them. Install Studio in your agency’s own name and icon, and a reminder opens the post on the plan.

From there, fill-in mode turns the design into a short form of words and photos, and Share hands the file to WhatsApp, Instagram or Facebook. Mark it shared and it leaves the waiting list.

Questions

Asked on every first call

Can several people work on one plan?

Yes. The plan is the team’s: each post has an owner, the plan filters to your own posts, and each person’s Monday pack says how many more the team has planned that week.

Does it publish to Instagram or Facebook for us?

No. Studio makes the file, plans it and reminds its owner; the post goes out from your phone’s share sheet. Mark it shared and the plan records when.

Which time zone do the times use?

A post’s time is on the account’s clock. The Monday pack follows each person’s own clock, so a colleague who set a different time zone gets it on their own Monday morning.

Can I see the plan in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar?

Yes, through a secret address you make in Studio’s settings. The feed is read-only and shows your own unshared posts and the account’s own dates.

Can I use it today?

It is in early access: request it and we will be in touch.
