Travel agency software in Australia

Turn enquiries into won trips and the next booking after them, give travellers their papers and a trip page in your own brand, and, if you are an inbound tour operator, sell Australia to the overseas trade in its own currencies.

How the trade works in Australia

Travel agents in Australia are not licensed any more. State and territory ministers agreed by majority in 2012 to end the national licensing scheme and wind up its compensation fund, the state acts were repealed from 2014, Western Australia's in 2017, and accreditation is now voluntary, through the industry association ATIA, whose own pages say its scheme is neither a government body nor a compensation scheme.

What Australian operators are loading

Outbound holidays to Asia and the Pacific, cruises and escorted touring, and, for inbound tour operators, Australian accommodation, touring and transport packaged for wholesalers overseas.

Money and language, set the way Australia works

You work in AUD, and your workspace and the documents your clients receive read in English.

Tasks, follow-ups and the morning email of what is due are judged in your account's own timezone, so “today” is the business day in your office rather than the server's.

Small businesses that live on repeat clients

The Australian Bureau of Statistics counted 8,993 travel agency and tour arrangement businesses at June 2025, and three in five of them had no employees. A business that size grows by the clients who come back, and the CRM creates those follow-ups itself: a task before a birthday, before a passport runs out, ahead of a wedding anniversary or the anniversary of their last trip, and when a lost deal is worth another try, each switched on or off with its own timing.

Three days after a trip ends, unless you choose another day, the client is emailed in their own language, through your own mail server when you have set one up, and asked how it went. The rating lands on the deal and the contact, and one or two stars becomes a call-back task for the deal's owner.

Quotes priced from the rates you negotiated

Your contracted rates sit in the CRM's library and price each line of a day-by-day quotation for the party in front of you.

  • Seasons set once and shared by every rate card, with weekdays where a rate depends on them.
  • Hotels by occupancy, a stay across two seasons priced night by night, and a minimum stay or a closed night flagged before you send.
  • Tours with your own age bands, per person or per group, and guides offered in the client's language.
  • Rates to renew. Cards ending in the coming months, cards already ended, and the live quotations still using a rate past its end date.
  • A whole card as one spreadsheet, changed in Excel and uploaded again, with every change shown before anything is saved.

The trip in the traveller's hand

Vouchers runs alone, from the trip you type. The traveller's link opens a page in your brand with the 24/7 line first and each service at its own local time and zone, so a trip that crosses several time zones still reads correctly. Once opened it keeps working without signal, you can withdraw it, and it stops a set time after the trip, 90 days unless you pick another length.

Before departure, ask a supplier to confirm several services through one link. The answers land on the trip, and a supplier who stays silent is chased automatically at the lead times you choose.

Inbound tour operators and the overseas trade

Tourism Australia describes inbound tour operators as the link between Australian tourism products and the overseas distributors that buy them, bringing accommodation, tours, transport and meals together. That is the work of a B2B portal. Load your contracted products at net, give each overseas wholesaler an account in the currency it buys in, prepaid or on credit, and sell day-by-day programmes on fixed departures whose seats count down as they are booked.

Destinations already in the taxonomy

Products carry a real city with real coordinates and a real time zone — 438,919 of them worldwide, independent of any supplier's list. In Australia that includes:

  • Goode Beach
  • Baromi
  • Sydney
  • Ballarat
  • Canberra
  • Brisbane
  • Melbourne
  • Armidale
  • Traralgon
  • Perth
  • Adelaide
