Travel agency software in Canada
Take enquiries, quote day by day and issue trip papers in English or French, priced in Canadian dollars and under your own brand, whether you run an agency with outside reps or a tour operator selling to the trade.
How the trade works in Canada
Canada regulates the trade province by province. Ontario requires travel retailers and wholesalers to register with TICO, and an outside sales representative sells as an independent contractor through a registered host agency. British Columbia licenses travel businesses through Consumer Protection BC, and Quebec's Office de la protection du consommateur requires a licence of every agency operating there. Statistics Canada counted 6,270 travel agencies in June 2026, two in three of them with no employees.
What Canadian operators are loading
Sun holidays and cruises costed against US-dollar suppliers, escorted tours abroad, rail and ski trips at home, and, for receptive operators, Canadian programmes sold to agencies overseas.
Money and language, set the way Canada works
You work in CAD, and your workspace and the documents your clients receive read in English and French.
English and French are both among the 32 interface languages, and the language belongs to each person, so a rep in Montreal can work in French while the Toronto office stays in English.
One trip, two languages
A family in Montreal wants its quotation in French; a couple in Calgary want theirs in English. The CRM emails each quotation in the client's own language from the same builder, and a document can be shown again in another language without becoming a new version, which suits a household that reads both.
Each company record keeps the language its papers use, so a supplier in Quebec can be written to in French and one in Florida in English. The feedback request after the trip goes in the client's language too, and the morning list of tasks in each colleague's own.
Canadian dollars in, US dollars out
When a resort or a cruise line bills you in US dollars and the client pays in Canadian dollars, every trip carries two currencies.
- Costs in the supplier's money. On a CRM quotation each cost is typed in its own currency, and the rate used is kept on the line.
- Today's rate beside it. The builder shows the people who may see costs what each foreign currency would cost at today's market rate, so the gap is visible before the client says yes.
- A trip sold in two currencies. In Vouchers a service can sell in its own currency, US dollars inside a trip in Canadian dollars, with an invoice for each currency and no price ever converted.
- Letter paper. Documents for an account based in Canada print on Letter, not A4.
A host agency and its outside reps
An agency with outside sales representatives needs each rep to see their own files and the owner to see all of them.
- Who sees what. Each person sees their own deals, their team's or the whole account, and narrowing it applies to lists, the board, reports and search at once.
- Enquiries shared fairly. By default a new lead goes to the licensed person who has been given the fewest this week.
- Trips with an owner. In Vouchers each trip names the person looking after it and can be handed on with a line on its history, and a role can be limited to its own trips.
- One name on the paper. Every voucher and itinerary carries the agency's logo, contacts and licence number, whichever rep issued it.
Receptive operators selling Canada
An operator selling Canadian programmes to agencies abroad needs the trade side as well. The B2B portal lists your contracted hotels, tours and transfers at your own net rates, shows each product only to the agencies or price tiers you choose, and lets a buyer in Germany see euro prices, fixed on each booking at the rate of the day, while your accounts stay in Canadian dollars.
