Sri Lanka
B2B travel portal software in Sri Lanka
Sell your contracted hotels, tours and transfers to your sub-agents in LKR, under your own brand, from your own domain — with Colombo at the centre of it.
How the trade works in Sri Lanka
Sri Lankan inbound is a round-trip business: agents in India, Europe and the Gulf buy a circuit rather than a hotel, so the operator’s margin lives in how well the components are assembled and how quickly a variation can be re-quoted.
What Sri Lankan operators are loading
Hill-country and coastal hotels contracted by season, cultural-triangle excursions with per-person bands, and a large private transfer business — the circuit is driven, and the vehicle is the unit.
Hotels
Room type × rate plan × season, per-occupancy prices, allotment and stop-sell per night, supplements.
Tours & attractions
Options with their own capacity and operating days, time slots, age bands, add-ons, e-tickets.
Transfers
A route with two named ends — per vehicle when private, per seat when shared, with a night window.
Money and language, set the way Sri Lanka works
Your books, your wallet and your prices stay in LKR, chosen once at setup so the ledger stays reconcilable; a partner agency can also buy in its own currency, at a rate frozen on each booking. Your portal reads in English. Service dates and booking cut-offs are judged in the product city's own time zone, not yours.
Transfers are a route with two named ends, so the same vehicle line can be re-used across every itinerary that drives it.
Two monsoons, so "high season" depends on which coast
Sri Lanka has two monsoons on opposite schedules. The southwest coast and the hill country have their weather roughly from May to September; the east coast has its own from roughly November to February. The practical consequence is that the island has no single high season — a date that is peak in Trincomalee is wet in Galle, and the other way round six months later.
That makes a nationwide seasonal calendar actively wrong, and it makes the round-trip itinerary — Colombo, the cultural triangle, the hill country, a coast chosen by month — the standard product rather than a resort stay. The coast is a variable in the itinerary, decided by the calendar.
The operating trade is licensed and the inbound business is contract-led: hotels, guides with vehicles, and entrance fees to the cultural sites, assembled per client.
What that needs from a portal
Seasons that belong to a property rather than to a country.
- Every rate plan carries its own season dates, so two coasts can be in opposite seasons on the same day.
- Multi-stop itineraries are assembled from real products — stays, tours and transfers — into one order with one wallet debit.
- Guides and entrances priced as options with their own age bands, rather than absorbed into a per-person figure nobody can audit.
- A price tester that quotes a real date through the real engine before anything is published.
Destinations already in the taxonomy
